Welcome to the Healthy Child Care Consultant Network Support Center!

The mission of the Healthy Child Care Consultant Network Support Center (NSC) is to strengthen statewide networks of child care health consultants (CCHCs). The NSC provides resources and support that help CCHC networks promote the healthy development of children in out-of-home early care and education settings. On this website CCHCs, state leaders, and early care and education providers can find resources and information to support their work toward this important goal. The NSC also offers phone and onsite technical assistance (TA) to state leaders to support the development or sustainability of their CCHC networks. The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) funds the NSC to advance the goals of Healthy Child Care America and the state Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems initiatives.

The resources and state child care health consultant profiles contained on this site were developed by the Healthy Child Care Consultant Network Support Center at Education Development Center, Inc. under Contract # HRSA-05-N-240-5254 (DP) from August 2005 through August 2009. As of August 2009, John Snow, Inc., a public health consulting company headquartered in Boston, maintains the resources developed by EDC and the state CCHC profiles on this site.
